My cute little ShihTzu and I decided to give this class a try.
:-) It was very cute to say the least. Lots of dogs and their yogi owners in attendance. I guess I will need to do some yoga at home today, because it really wasn’t much of a workout for the humans! Some very cute dogs! The yoga instructor teaches humans at a studio, but she adapted some of the poses for the dogs. I was very proud of my little puppy. She did everything she was supposed to while some dogs were crying or growling when their owners tried to help them into the poses. It must have been quite a spectacle for onlookers. :-) They held it at the beautiful W hotel’s side courtyard that is just for dogs.

SCOTTSDALE – Every week, there’s quite a gathering poolside at the W Hotel in Scottsdale.

Earlier this month, Versace was there.

So was Bianca, Jack, Casanova, Carmine, Shelby and Sprinkles.

No, it wasn’t some VIP party — it’s a class for the newest devotees to the ancient practice of yoga.

Day 35: Too Hot Bikram Yoga

I went to the late class today and it ended up being the worst Bikram class I’ve had so far. I’m usually a morning person, but I thought it would be a nice way to end my busy day. So many things were bothering me. The instructor seemed to be a brand new teacher and did not know her poses or her dialog very well. I can usually look past this, however she tried “correcting” me in a pose “incorrectly”. I had to just ignore her. Then, I noticed the heat felt way too hot, even for Bikram. I looked at the thermostat and it said 114 degrees! This is about 10 degrees hotter than Bikram says it should be. I felt bad for the brand new students. This was not a good representation of Bikram Yoga. Tomorrow is a different day, a different yoga class. :-)
