Really great class today! The temp was not too hot, that is, by Bikram standards, a cool 107.5 degrees. The teacher was calm, cool, and collected also. This helps one really focus and not get distracted by things they say or do, or the temperature being too hot. I really felt I was able to push myself in the poses to my personal best.

Are you up for the challenge?
Today was a good class. My husband started his 30 day Bikram challenge. I’m excited to see what results he finds. He will do Bikram yoga every day for the next 30 days. Yeah!!!

I really started class strong today. However, my energy tanked right after the balancing series. It was like a little switch had turned off and I did the rest of class on “empty”. Overall, class felt good. I am noticing my flexibility improving as well.

Today was a good Bikram class. It seems that by alternating different types of yoga classes, my practice becomes stronger.

Today I woke up exhausted from my neighbor playing her music so loud at 3am! I also felt a little congested and thought the best thing for me would be a good ol’ Hot Bikram class. It was a hard class today because I was so tired. I’m still feeling a bit under the weather tho’.

Great class today. Felt strong in the poses. Good energy. Teacher set a nice pace that was really good for me as well. Really helped make this class a strong one. Sometimes if teachers take too long or too short of a time to set up for a pose, I notice this can effect how I feel in the poses.

I went to the late class today and it ended up being the worst Bikram class I’ve had so far. I’m usually a morning person, but I thought it would be a nice way to end my busy day. So many things were bothering me. The instructor seemed to be a brand new teacher and did not know her poses or her dialog very well. I can usually look past this, however she tried “correcting” me in a pose “incorrectly”. I had to just ignore her. Then, I noticed the heat felt way too hot, even for Bikram. I looked at the thermostat and it said 114 degrees! This is about 10 degrees hotter than Bikram says it should be. I felt bad for the brand new students. This was not a good representation of Bikram Yoga. Tomorrow is a different day, a different yoga class.

I felt very strong today. My balance was really good. I could have held the balance series even longer than the usual minute!
Maybe because I took it easier yesterday by practicing at home. It felt good.

This is my fourth day in a row of Bikram style yoga. I think my muscle memory is starting to come back now. I was also noticing a tingling sensation in my right ankle. Prior to starting this yoga experiment, I was noticing a stiffness in my ankles. I am hopeful that the yoga is helping with that as well. I am trying to get a friend of mine to try yoga. My body just feels so much better after doing it.

Today I really felt the blood rushing to my forearms in the spine strengthening series. Like Bikram says, I think this is going to be good for preventing carpel tunnel syndrome. I am on the computer quite a bit, so taking a few preventive steps with yoga has got to be beneficial.
